  • Spoon Assassins 2002
    Grove City College

    A. Getting started

    A-1.

Everyone who wants to be a spoon assassin will receive a plastic spoon.

    A-2.

Your plastic spoon will have your name on it.

    A-3.

Everyone will also receive a secret name of one of the other spoon assassins in the game.

    A-4.

That name is to be kept secret.

    A-5.

If you forget your secret name, contact the Spoon Master (don't call Gee - she's playing the game and doesn't have the list).

    A-6.

If you don't know who your victims are, use stealth and cunning finesse to uncover their identities. NO CLUES will be provided about the identity of your intended victims.

    A-7.

If you're not already in the game, it's too late to join. Sorry... Let the Games Begin!

    B. What to do with your spoon

    B-1.

Your spoon must be on your body at all times.

    B-2.

Your spoon must be visible at all times (see Rule C-5).

    B-3.

Your spoon may not be attached to your body so that it would not be able to be taken off: no duct tape, Amy Bowers.

    C. Goal of the game

    C-1.

Your goal is to "assassinate" the person whose name you receive.

    C-2.

This may be done through stealthy operations, sly maneuvering, or rugby-type approaches. All is legal as long as no one gets hurt.

    C-3.

To "assassinate" is to take another person’s spoon.

    C-4.

For example (using "Jack" and "Jill"):

    • Jack and Jill both have a spoon.
    • Jack’s spoon has Jack’s name on it.
    • Jill’s spoon has Jill’s name on it.
    • Jack’s secret name is "Jill".
    • Jack’s goal is to assassinate Jill.
    • Jill doesn’t know that Jack has her name.
    • Jack "assassinates" Jill (by somehow taking her spoon).
    • Jill is now out of the game and gives all spoons AND secret names that she has to Jack.
    • Jack now tries to assassinate whoever Jill was supposed to assassinate.

    C-5.

If someone tries to assassinate you and you don't have your spoon on you, you're out of the game and have to hand over your secret name (see Rule B-2).

    C-6.

Game continues until there is one person left with all the spoons or the semester ends
